100 Things

Well, everyone seems to be doing it… so here’s my list, if anyone really cares lol. I actually like reading the lists, but making mine was much less fun lol.
101 things about me:
1. I like being alone
2. I don’t like crowds
3. I adore coffee, anytime, anyplace. As long as it’s Good coffee.
4. I also love tea, herbal tea, black tea, tea is good.
5. I am a Pagan and a Witch.
6. I am married to a Catholic.
7. I was born in Texas, raised in Texas, it will always be Home. Even if I never get to live there again.
8. I love cats. I have three and would have more if we could afford to.
9. I also love dogs but will not own one till we have our own home with a yard and a doggie door.
10. I love babies but don’t like kids much. My own is the exception of course.
11. I’m a very picky eater. I don’t like trying new things.
12. My favorite meal is chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans, cooked like my granny did ‘em. I do not care if it’s not healthy.
13.I smoke.
14. I don’t want to quit smoking yet. Maybe someday, but not right now.
15. I dislike people telling me it’s bad for me. I know this, I can read dammit.
16. I try to be a respectful smoker. I try to stand far enough away from buildings and doors and people who are not smokers. I even hold my smoke in if I walk past kids so I don’t inadvertantly blow it in their direction.
17. I dropped out of high school and never bothered to get my GED.
18. I don’t feel the need for a GED. I do not need it for a job or anything, I certainly do not need it to make myself feel better, and I would not get it just to make someone else happy. I am smarter than your average bear and that’s good enough for me.
19. I was an A student in school, Honors classes even.
20. I was more interested in having fun than going to school though.
21. I had my first child at 18, my second child at 19 and my last child at 21.
22. I got my tubes tied 14 hours after giving birth to my third child.
23. Only one of my children lives with me.
24. I gave my second child up for adoption. He knows me, knows his brother and we talk and email often. He does not call me mom, he has a mom. I am Marvie and that’s what he calls me.
25. I am happy that I could give his mom a child when she could not have one of her own body.
26. My second and third pregnancies happened in spite of not just one, but two and three forms of birth control. This is why #22 happened.
27. I have never kept a job longer than 6 months at one time.
28. I get bored easily.
29. I have a problem with authority. See #’s 17 and 27.
30. I am easily distracted.
31. I have not been tested for ADD/ADHD.
32. I probably have a mild case of ADD, but these days, who doesn’t?
33. I detest talking on the phone.
34. Sometimes I don’t answer the phone, even when I can tell by looking at caller ID that it’s a friend. See above.
35. Sometimes I hide the phone under blankets or pillows so I can honestly say “I didn’t hear it ring”
36. This sometimes causes problems with friends. They know me, they know I dislike talking on the phone, so why do they get upset when I don’t? If they accept me as I am, they should also accept my quirks.
37. I like the fact that my husband goes out to sea. See # 1.
38. I love my husband with all my heart but… see # 1.
39. Usually when hubby goes out to sea I spend several days hibernating and doing nothing (beyond the essential kid care) that doesn’t please me.
40. I dislike laundry and dishes. When hubby is out to sea I do these chores, but only when we run out of clean things to use.
41. I have been officially recognized as the Shittiest Correspondent Ever by my various friends. It’s not that I dislike emailing etc. I just forget.
42. When I think to email, the recipient usually gets several chapters. Most of them feel this makes up for the long wait between emails.
43. I hate to cook. I do it, but don’t like it.
44. I do like to bake.
45. I collect teapots. All sorts of tea pots.
46. I also collect baskets. Baskets are useful at least 
I can fill ‘em with yarn!
47. I am a procrastinator.
48. I HATE sewing.
49. I will never be a cross-stitcher because it’s too much like sewing.
50. I sleep on the couch a lot. I have a really comfy couch, it’s more comfy than my bed.
51. I have a pretty comfy bed, but the couch is more comfy. My husband is ok with this as long as I sleep beside him occasionally.
52. I am not very big on cuddling. Hubby likes cuddling, but accepts this about me.
53. I have a sweet tooth.
54. My waistline shows that I have a sweet tooth.
55. I don’t like to exercise.
56. My waistline shows that too.
57. I think this list is too long.
58. I have little yellow sticky notes all over the place to remind me to do stuff.
59. I usually don’t notice the sticky notes after a day.
60. I forget a lot of stuff.
61. I have a daily planner and a Palm Pilot to help me remember stuff.
62. I forget to look at the calender and Palm, usually I forget to even enter things into the calender or Palm.
63. I dye my hair.
64. I do not have grey hair yet, I dye because I like change. Even though I tend to stick with the same color family (reddish browns for those who wonder)
65. I am naturally dishwater/strawberry blonde.
66. I have a lot of freckles.
67. I also have several moles.
68. I do not want to have my moles removed.
69. I will have my moles removed only if they become health issues. So far they have not.
70. I am afraid of heights.
71. I can stand on a chair or stepladder without getting dizzy or having a panic attack, but I have only been able to do this for a couple of years.
72. When my husband is with me and I have to negotiate stairs or do anything that puts me in high places, he holds my hand, keeps himself on the outer edge, and will even lead me with my eyes closed if it’s really bad.
73. I have the best husband ever.
74. I don’t like most alcoholoc beverages.
75. I do like sweet German wine.
76. My favorite wine is named after the God of wine, Baccus.
77. I love taking baths. I take a lot of baths. I think there is probably nothing that I nice hot bath can’t make better. For me at least.
78. I don’t like taking showers in the winter. Instead I take a lot of baths and will wash my hair in the sink or bent over the tub.
79. I am making myself a cappuccino as I type this.
80. I insist that the TP come off the roll from the top not the bottom.
81. I dislike having to change the roll so will usually just sit the roll on the back of the toilet.
82. I’m lazy if you hadn’t already noticed
83. I like to shop for bargains. I won’t pay full price for much of anything, if I can help it.
84. I love thrift shops, flea markets and garage sales.
85. I love free stuff even more
86. I like to give gifts.
87. I also like receiving gifts.
88. Simple things make me just as happy if not happier than expensive things.
89. My wedding ring is a $20.00 silver band (not a wedding type band though) from a kiosk at the mall.
90. My husband’s matching ring was actually supposed to be a thumb ring for myself. But when he liked the ring, we decided to use it as a wedding ring and got me a smaller one for my wedding ring.
91. I have a silver cat ring for a thumb ring instead.
92. I don’t wear gold jewelry. Often. I do own a pair of earrings that are gold, and a necklace that matches. Only wear ‘em on special occasions though.
93. I have a lot of silver jewelry.
94. I prefer colored stones to diamonds.
95. I have a tattoo on the big toe of my left foot. It is a dragonfly.
96. I got the tat when my husband was on deployment, I think he was in Spain at the time. He called me not long after I got home from getting it and I told him all about it. He was shocked.
97. I am deathly afraid of needles. This is why hubby was shocked.
98. I hate going to the dentist. I put it off till I can’t stand the pain anymore. If there’s no pain, I won’t go.
99. I have to go to the dentist in spite of # 98 because I have unfinished dental work and if I don’t get it finished very soon (like within the next month and a half) I could possibly get sent home because of it. (Don’t ask me why I don’t understand it either. Stupid rules)
100. I have been putting off dealing with this for almost a year. I’d rather get all my teeth yanked and just get fake chompers. Then I wouldn’t have to deal with this crap anymore.
